The unity and excellence shown by our students are the fruits of our
efforts to upkeep the SMKDU culture. All SMKDU students know and
hold high the SMKDU culture, a collection of noble and honourable
qualities. First and foremost of the principles within the SMKDU culture 
is our belief to maintain unity and tolerance among components of
SMKDU. The SMKDU culture rejects all forms of discrimination, racism
and division in order to maintain tolerance and harmony among the
various cultures and races that exists within our student and
administrative body. Furthermore, our culture encourages our students
from various races and religions to work together as well as assist one
another, to make any decisions through compromise and mutual
agreement and to promote values of love, togetherness, responsibility
and unity among SMKDU students. The SMKDU culture exposes our
students to the basics of democratic principles which are the 
foundations of our nation through decision-making by compromise,
mutual agreement and voice of the majority from simple decisions of
doing a school project to elections for the high student offices of
monitors. 

Our culture encourages our students to excel in both fields of academic
and extra-curricular activities, to be fully dedicated and responsible to
the duties entrusted to them, and to absorb the concept of smart
achievement (Budaya Kerja Cemerlang). In the view of an ever-
changing and evolving world, the SMKDU culture stresses our students
to equip themselves with the knowledge of new methods and to make
full use of new and current technologies such as IT (Information
Technology) to face new challenges that exists. The SMKDU culture
does not only persists in our student body. The SMKDU culture is clearly
personified within the school administrative body as the SMKDU culture
clearly champions for efficient and effective administration. Efficiency
has long been synonymous with SMKDU administration policies so that
the smooth running of the school is ensured. SMKDU supports effective
measures to protect the interest and well-being of our students. Our
policy takes into account the safety of our students as well. Several
steps and measures have been taken by the school administration such
as the employment of private security guards and various efforts have
been implemented to curb fires and emergencies that could endanger
the lives of our students. SMKDU culture within the administration clearly
manifests the principles of efficiency, effectiveness, agility, caution and
safety.
